Abstract

The study determines the potential secondary metabolites of Brugmansia versicolor Lagerheim necessary in the medical field using phytochemical screening. The results revealed that the flowers and the mature leaves of the B. versicolor can be used in the medical discipline, particularly in pharmacology as antimicrobial, antidiarrheal, and anthelminthic. Relative to this, the psychoactive, specifically anticholinergic effect of the plant is more potent on the flowers as contrast to the leaves in terms of its contents.
